November Scrapbook Night

November is here. How has that happened so fast. This month due to holidays and a wedding I was planning to have scrapbook club this week on November 8th and 9th. I got behind on ordering the paper so I don't believe that I will be able to hold it on the 8th. So I will move that to next week November 15th. As long as the paper ships tomorrow I should be able to still hold the classes on Friday the 9th. This month we are using the Flirty Paper pack. Here are the pages that we will be doing. They were designed by my upline Adina Godin.

Avonlea Card Workshop

Would you like to have a stash of cards ready to do for those every day moments when you need a quick card. Well this workshop is for you. We will be making 15 really great everyday cards at this workshop. We will be using the Avonlea Workshop on the Go kit. The kit includes all you need to make these beautiful cards. Shop Til' You Drop

Thank you all that were able to make it out to see me at the Shop Til' You Drop Craft Fair. It was a long but wonderful day. I was very excited to meet some really wonderful new people at the show. Here are a couple of pictures of my booth in case you couldn't make it by.

I had are really good day in sales and was excited to share all the wonderful products that we sell with people who had never heard of us or had never seen our products in person. I also ran into a few that love our products but had not seen all of the wonderful new stuff that we have to offer.

September Scrapbook Nights

This month we will be working with the Scholastic paper. We will be making 2 two page layouts with the paper and some extra embellishments.

The cost for this workshop is $25. You will receive the Scholastic level 2 paper pack, Noted Canvas shapes and Canvas Alphabet. You will get to keep all the material that are not used on these two pages for you to make other projects with.

I will offer this class three times this month.

Plate & More Workshop

Come out and join me in making personalized plates and bowls. These make great gifts or are the perfect thing for those kids that have unique names who never get a personalized item. All you have to do is come out and stamp your design on a special paper and then I will send it off to be processed. The final product will be back in about 3 weeks time. . I will have a wide variety of stamps and themes that you can choose from. The cost is $12 each for the plates and $12 for the bowls. Now is a great time to get a jump start on Christmas gifts or up coming birthday gifts.

Customer Open House

We had a great time on Saturday kicking off the new Fall/ Winter 2012 Close to my Heart idea book. It was really great to see some people that I have not seen in a while.

While getting a chance to get some discontinued product at a great discount they were also able to see all the new product.

We also had a great time making a fun make and take using the new Cricut Artiste. We made a cupcake holder.

 These cute little cupcakes were made by my friend Catherine who has started her own company CraftyCatherine. She makes all kinds of wonderful treats and goodies. Please take a moment to check out her facebook page here.  I know that she would really love to hear from you all.

Studio J Fun

Close to my Heart has made some wonderful changes to the Studio J program. I am so excited to share some of them with you. First off they no longer require membership to get the best pricing. All  customers will get the very best pricing and all the advantages that came with being a member. They have added some wonderful Studio J exclusive paper packs and exciting new layouts.

Express Collections

The next exciting thing they have added are express collections. They have taken out some the time in laying out the pages and made it even fast. These collections consist of 10 two page layouts and a cover/back page. So that is a total of 11 pages. It make creating a album so fast.

All you have to do on these pages is load your photos and drag and drop them where you would like them.

The album the I chose to do was an All About Me album. The hardest part for me on this album was to find pictures of me.

These pages already have titles on them so I just added the journaling  where I needed. That is one of my favorite parts of Studio J is have complete pages with journaling on them when I am finished. That rarely happens when I scrapbook.

  

With these pages being so easy to do I was able to complete this project in just a few hours. I love being able to start a project like this and be able to finish it in no time at all. 

 On the My Dream page I was able to change the title to work more for my pictures. These pages are so wonderful and they still leave you with plenty of ways to customize them for your needs. 

There are 6 different Express Collections right now. They all have different themes. The best part about them is you don't have to stick to just one collection, you can make pages from any of them to complete your project along with doing some custom pages.

Convention 2012

We had a wonderful time in Dallas this past week. It was so nice to have convention in our part of the country. They made sure that convention was Texas sized fun for all.

This is a picture of all the Stamping Sisters that were in attendance. The Adina Godin is the leader of the Stamping Sisters and one of the best uplines you could ask for. This is the largest group we have had in a while. I am sure being able to just zoom up to Dallas helped.

This picture is of all my downline (The Stamping Friends Team) that were able to attend. It was a blast to get to know some of these ladies better. Thanks to my great team for making it a fun time.

We have so many new and wonderful products coming out I can't wait to show them all to you.  I am working on setting up a open house that will probably take place the first weekend in August. So get ready to be blown away with all the wonderful new items.

End of Summer Scrapbook Retreat

We will be ending the summer with a weekend retreat at Willowcreek. We will have a full weekend of scrapbooking starting on Friday, August 24th at 1:00PM. We will conclude the fun on Sunday, August 26th at 3:00PM. The cost for the weekend is $175 which includes all your meals, snacks, drinks and a very comfy single bed. If you would like to get a little more out of your weekend you can add Thursday night starting at 5:30 for only $30.

I need a deposit of $50 as soon as possible to hold your spot at the retreat. Then the balance of the money is due on June 30th.

30 Card Workshop

It is that time of year for my card workshop. This workshop will offer a variety of everyday cards. You will make five each of six different cards that will have options of sentiments for each card. The cost of the workshop is $35 due in advance. Then a $15 product purchase is required the day of the workshop.

Currently I am planning to hold the work shop on June 21st and June 23rd at 4 PM.
