Tomorrow we are jumping into 2021. I pray that the world is healed this year and that life can get a bit more normal than it has been this last year.  

2020 was an amazing year for scrapbooking, as people settled down and had more time at home they found scrapbooking and card making a a comfort.  I know I did.  Close to my Heart responded by have regular online classes for all their customers.  I have really enjoyed being able to scrapbook along with friends from around the country.  I did miss out on our regular convention, but it was nice to still be able to to connect with the amazing friends I have made in this company.

Upcoming Scrapbook Nights

I am currently holding a monthly scrapbook night at my house.  This month it will be this Saturday, September 17th at 6:00PM. This month we will be doing the Magical kit.  The cost is $35 for the kit that we will complete 3 two page layouts that night and then you will have left overs that you can create cards and pocket pages with.

On October 22nd we will be doing the Jeepers Creepers pages.

Then on November 19th the Swan Lake pages

Here are the upcoming pages that we will be doing for scrapbook nights this spring.

 February 19th and February 20th at 7PM at my house we will be doing the Heartstrings layouts


March 19th and March 20th at 7PM at my house we will be doing the Hopscotch layouts. (picture to be added later

 April 16th and April 17th at 7PM at my house we will be doing the Blushed layout.

May 14th and May 15th at 7PM at my house we will be doing the Confetti Wishes layouts ( pictures to be added soon.)

These Seaside pages will be done in June dates yet to be set.

October Events

 Below is a little description on what classes I am offering the next two months.

Scrapbook Class- At this class you will receive a Level 2 paper pack, compliments and accessories that match the paper. I will have a kit cut and ready for you to assemble 2 two page layouts. You get to keep all the left over supplies that are not used.  All you need to bring with you is your basic tool kit of adhesive, 3-d foam tape, scissors, and glue dots. The cost of the class is $25.

Card Class- This month we will be making 2 different style of cards using the Seaside paper pack. I will have a kit with all the supplies cut and ready for you to assemble 10 cards with 5 of each design. You can use many different sentiments on the cards so they don't have to all be the same. Your kit will include envelopes and all. All you need to bring is your basic tool kit of adhesive, 3-d foam tape, scissors, and glue dots. The cost of the class is $16.

March Scrapbook Nights

I will be holding my March Scrapbook nights on Thursday, March 27th and Friday, March 28th. They will be held at my house in Riata Ranch. The cost for the kit is $25. All you need to bring is 3-D foam tape, adhesive, glue dots and scissors. I will have every thing cut and ready to go.

I will need to know at least a week ahead if you will be able to attend or if you are interested in purchasing a kit to put together on your own. Thanks and I look forward to seeing and crafting with you.

August Scrapbook Retreat

This is a last call for my August scrapbook retreat. We will be returning to the wonderful Willow Creek Retreat center located between Cypress and Tomball. The best part is that is close to home for many of us while still giving you the feel of getting away. They have a beautiful facility that has twin beds and many bathrooms. The tables are all 6ft tables with extra room to spread out usually. They serve us dinner on Friday, Breakfast, hearty snack and dinner on Saturday and brunch on Sunday. They have drinks and snacks for us the whole time we are there. They also have a Cricut station set up with two machines and over 200 cartridges for us to use.  All of this for the wonderful low cost of $175 per person.

Close to my Heart Updates

Well I just got back from convention in Disney World. CTMH really knows how to have a good time. We had a lot of fun connecting with other consultants and learning all about the really cool new product that we will be releasing in August. I am very excited to get my paws inky and start creating some fun stuff. Before I get a lot of creating done I am working on cleaning out my craft space. I have a ton of older new product that needs to find a new home. I will be holding a get it cheap while you can sale at my house. I will be selling paper packs for at least 60% off or more and many accessories and stamps to go along with it. This is not going to be an event that you will want to miss. Once I clear our some of these treasures I will then be able to get ready for my New Product Open House that will take place in the first part of August.

May Scrapbook Nights

These are the pages that we will be doing this month for my scrapbook nights. We will be meeting the 4th week due to baseball play off games for my son. April Scrapbook Nights

Sorry that I haven't had much time to get updates up on here. I am hoping to get back on track and start having more posts. I would first like to invite you to my April Scrapbook nights. I will hold it on two nights this month. At the scrapbook night we will be making two 2 page layouts using the Chantilly paper pack. I will have all the paper cut and ready for you to enjoy the fun in making these two layouts.

November Scrapbook Night

November is here. How has that happened so fast. This month due to holidays and a wedding I was planning to have scrapbook club this week on November 8th and 9th. I got behind on ordering the paper so I don't believe that I will be able to hold it on the 8th. So I will move that to next week November 15th. As long as the paper ships tomorrow I should be able to still hold the classes on Friday the 9th. This month we are using the Flirty Paper pack. Here are the pages that we will be doing.
